Fresh is the invigorating theme that will launch our 2026 initiatives. Our organization has seen much change since 2004. To all those who have served before us, we extend our gratitude for your service and leadership that brought us to this new year. A servant's heart is a true gift, one that you shared so graciously. Thank YOU!

As we keep our sights on the horizon of what is to come, you too may also feel the calling to support the fine arts in our community and surrounding areas. There are many ways to support the Waukee Area Arts Council. Board member, committee member, business or individual sponsor, volunteer, and so much more. If you have a skill or opportunity to share, reach out to grow and shine with WAAC!

Together, our goals are many for the year. Our focus will be: Investment in sustainability and regeneration for our Board of Directors; expansion of our outreach and new fine art programming; and elevation of fine arts through our 11th Annual Waukee Arts Festival.

Save the date, July 17-18, 2026 and plan to be at Centennial Park in Waukee!

The festival will open Friday, July 17 from 5 pm-8 pm, followed by a concert with XOLEX. The festival reopens Saturday at 10 am for a full day of fun and food for the whole family, concluding with our feature concert Springsteen Tribute.   

Artist vendors, day time music, food trucks, and beer garden—plus so much more!
