WAUKEE AREA ARTS COUNCIL
PRESENTS
METRO ARTS JAZZ IN JULY

Waukee, Iowa – The Waukee Area Arts Council will present a free Metro Arts Jazz in July concert on Thursday, July 23, 2009, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Waukee Downtown Triangle, 6th and Walnut Streets.

Waukee Jazz Trio - a student combo will kickoff at 6:00 pm. The Trio is made up of Brendan Cunningham, piano; Hayden Goldstien, bass; and Brad Page, drums.

The featured jazz group will be The Jazz Page featuring Wayne Page, well-known saxophonist and jazz instructor at Waukee Schools, will play at 7:00 pm.

The public is invited to attend this night of cool jazz and fun activities at Triangle Park in Waukee. There will be free children’s art activities by the Waukee Area Arts Council and the Waukee High School Earth Club will have information about going ’green’ and ’green’ activities for the kids. The Waukee Public Library Friends and Foundation will have a food stand and downtown Triangle businesses will be open. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and join us on July 23!

The Waukee Downtown Business Association is co-sponsoring the jazz event with the Waukee Area Arts Council.
