Located at 405 Maple Street in Waukee - this old Catholic church space is a versatile home for the Arts Council, serving many aspects of our programming and administration. For a link to a map see the bottom of the page. See you there!

 
 
Students on Stage
 
Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7:00 pm at ArtsCentral Free

The evening will feature the 
Waukee Middle School YMCA Drama Club performing theatre skits, improvisations and lots of fun. The group is directed by Sarah Schaefer.
 
 
Jazz at The Caspe Terrace Concert Series in Waukee
 
Presenters Abe and Jackie Goldstien with partners, the Waukee Area Arts Council and the Jewish Federation of Greater Des Moines, present Dutch trumpet player Eric Vloeimans’ and his trio. They will be appearing on the Bucksbaum Stage at The Caspe Terrace on March 2, 2010, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for the first Iowa performance by Eric Vloeimans are $20 for adults and $15 for students (advanced sales). Tickets will also be available at the door for $25. Tickets for the performance are available from Abe by calling 515-279-6452. The performance will be followed with a reception hosted by the Waukee Area Arts Council.

Enjoy acoustic music from the 70’s, 80’s, & 90’s plus materials from today’s artists like Green Day, John Mayer, Plain White T’s and more with this local singer/musician.

The Beggarmen
 
Saturday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. at ArtsCentral

The Beggarmen are an Iowa City-based quartet of traditional Celtic musicians comprised of Brad Pouleson, Keith Reins, and Joseph and Tara Dutcher.

The band find their roots in the traditional music of Ireland and other Celtic regions. The Beggarmen supplement the rich variety of traditional tunes with their own original music. All of the Beggarmen lend their voices as well as their fine playing to the mix.
