Interested in helping out at the Waukee Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 4 - 7 pm? The Waukee Area Arts Council has a table for kids where we do art projects from found objects. We use both natural recycled items to create art - the table is quite busy and extra help is always welcome. Some examples of our projects - dragonflies from maple seeds, wheelbarrows from laundry scoops, vases from glass jars, animals out of pine cones and many more.
This is a weekly activity that is held at the downtown Waukee Triangle. You would not have to stay the entire evening, just an hour or two will help, and can count towards your Waukee Silvercord Volunteer total for High Schoolers. Please contact Lisa Bean at volunteer@waukeearts.org to let her know you are coming, and to make sure the art table will be in use that week. |
